Controlling Simulation

Expanding/Collapsing Window

If the simulator occupies too much space on your screen, you can hide trading section of main window using Collapse option in the bottom. You can show the whole window again with Expand option.

Setting Speed

You can start the simulation with Play button. You can pause and resume it at any time using the same button.

You can set how fast your simulation runs by dragging the speed slider in the middle of the window.

The simulator will show you current date, time and day of week just above the speed control.

Moving Forward and Backward

It is possible to move forward and backward candle-by-candle on every instrument and timeframe using Next >| and |< Prev buttons. Please note that these buttons always correspond to the instrument and timeframe selected in two drop-down lists between them. Changing the instrument or timeframe will affect |< Prev and Next >| buttons.

Sync with chart option can be used to link selected instrument and timeframe with currently selected chart. When this option is enabled, selecting any chart in Metatrader will automatically select corresponding instrument and timeframe in the simulator. It may be very useful when working with several instruments or timeframes.

These is also a small countdown clock in this part of the window. It shows either time remaining to the end of current candle or time elapsed from the beginning of current candle. You can switch between these two modes by clicking on the clock.

Automatic Pause

Sometimes you may want the simulation to run until price hits your Stop Loss, Take Profit or pending order. You can do it using Auto Pause option. A new window will appear where you can set one or more conditions which should pause the simulation automatically. Then, you just need to press Play and wait until price reaches your targets.
